This restaurant is part of the 5 star Ritz Carlton Half Moon Bay hotel. We were just going there to grab a small bit and a drink. It was a beautiful summer night. Around the sunset time. It was a beautiful view looking down from our window table. There is an outdoor seating with fire pit by the ocean. The food was actually super good. My favorite thing this time was the Ahi Tuna Tartare. Very fresh and delicious! Service was very attentive. After dinner, on the way out, there was a parking space you can park there and a walking path will lead you to the beach. It's so relaxing and peaceful watching the sunset on the beach. It was a beautiful experience. Will definitely go back soon.
We were there as a party of 15 ok a Sunday noon. The parking there is pretty expensive at $50, but when you get the check you forget about it, since everything is a but pricey there. The view of the ocean in the restaurant is breathtakingly beautiful. It invites you to keep looking at it for hours. If you are making a reservation, make sure you will get a window seat. They start the service with bread and butter. The bread has small pieces of onion, which is absolutely delicious. My wife ordered king salmon, and I ordered Cioppino. The portion size is mixed here. The salmon was very very small with a little side. Although it was delicious, it was surprisingly small. The Cioppino was very very delicious, and it is a lot of food. Crab, fish, shrimp and perhaps other kinds of seafood was there. Very good food, 好吃 The service here is also amazing. The staff are very kind, humble and with sense of humor. The check though has some hidden fees which I did not appreciate. I wish they were upfront about those fees. We also ordered from the kids menu for my 1.5 years old. He loved the food they bring. Even though he does not eat veggies at home, he did eat all carrots and celery they bring. He also liked the fries and fried chicken as well. But they never bring his dessert and we had to ask several times for them to bring the dip for his veggie. Overall, we had a great time there. Will definitely go there again.
There is a very kind and sweet South Asian waitress who was attentive, professional, patient, and helpful and brightened our day. We loved the sesame whole wheat croissants. Absolute highlight of the meal. The environment is a cozy refuge from the rain / misty days outside. The poached egg on the crab eggs Benedict was soft and creamy, and hollandaise was rich and smooth. The potato wedges were dry, wish they were crispy fries instead!
Honestly had a pretty good time here. We had a reservation for 8 people and got seated at the largest dining table next to all the wine options. View is hard to see once it's dark. Menu options were simple enough! The cioppino was definitely the star dish of the night and everyone is ordering this. They have a free dessert for the birthday folks. We ordered other desserts it the chocolate cake was good, baked Alaska was alright. Service was good - not too overwhelming in our face, but was there to help. Focaccia was SO good. Unlimited as well... Would I come here again? Maybe, if you are staying at the Ritz. There aren't many options around here, so this was pretty good.
Went here for dinner for our anniversary while staying at the Ritz. Went to the podium to ask for a table and was asked for my name and any allergies then we were taken to our table. Our server came to the table and greeted us by our name and was very friendly. The service was great and they were very attentive. There was a good amount of people there but it wasn't crowded or noisy. They were scattered between the dining area, the bar, and some had drinks in the lounge. We ordered caviar and the server highly recommended the scallops so we got that as well. For the main course I got the Australian Wagyu Ribeye and my wife got the truffle risotto. My 6 yr old got the spaghetti. The kids menu includes carrots as an appetizer, the main course, a juice or milk, and a dessert of their choice from the menu. It was a pretty solid menu. The caviar set up was pretty standard and was delicious. The scallop was amazing! My wife couldn't stop staying how amazing it was a she was eating it and was glad the server recommended it. The risotto was on par with the truffle risotto we had in Greece just last year which means it was pretty good. The Australian Wagyu Ribeye was delicious! It melted in your mouth like butter and you couldn't even tell when you were eating a fatty part. The only recommendation I have is that they put the sauce on the side and not on the steak so we can enjoy more of the natural steak flavor specially for such a nice cut of steak. For me salt on the steak would've been perfect and nothing else. Otherwise top notch and I highly recommend.
Thenfokd at the conservatory is pricy as the restaurant's settings indicate (Half Moon Bay Riz Carlton). With that said, the quality of the food, the flawless service, and the surroundings are all top-notch. The views of the ocean and the gold grounds are beautiful, and my two meals at the Conservatory were excellent. While I am not at the Ritz often, if and when I get back, I'll go back to the Conservatory.
Clam Chowder - tasty, but it was a bit too salty for me, however, my friend loved the chowder Cioppino - I enjoyed this dish! The broth was thick and flavorful and had tons of seafood including crab, clams, mussels, etc. Service was great! They offered to split each dish into 2 plates/bowls since we were sharing both dishes.
This is located inside the Ritz-Carlton and just based on the location itself, I knew that prices would be a bit more expensive then your average restaurant. But with that aside I thought it was so worth it for the experience. The views inside of this place is breathtaking. The water truly surrounds you wherever you're sitting. We came here for breakfast and it absolutely made my morning. The food was surprisingly delicious. They started us with what looked like mini wheat croissants and it definitely was the best croissant I have ever had in my life. It was warm, buttery, and melt in your mouth. We got: -Coastal Benedict (so good & definitely generous amount of seafood -Ricotta & Blueberry Pancake (soft & buttery with fresh fruit) Food was amazing and this meal was a memorable one on our stay. Definitely recommend.
